Huat Ah!!!

Every Lunar New Year means I'll be getting some profit sharing from the company and with the amount of work put in for 2014, the profit was quite charitable. Could be better, just that some people screwed up because they just don't get it.

Anyway, I am grateful of the amount I've received and I managed to put aside for personal savings, family savings, bills and of course some satisfactions. This was over a period and so the list is quite long. So here we go periodically:

The iPhone 6 has been out quite a while back but I was waiting to re-contract under my company's line. Took me about 4 months for the re-contract between the company and the telco.

I'm in need of a replacement for my ID card case and I can't seem to find something that I like, not even the classy ones. Checked out the HeadPorter online and they've released a new Master Blue series, similar to the sold-out Black Beauty that I've been eyeing for the longest time

Since shipment for the HeadPorter online was 2,000 Yen regardless of the number of item, I had to get something else to make it worthwhile. Hence I got myself this simple but unique basic. Sadly it was smaller than I thought. If it shrinks after wash, I will have to handover to my brother or to work out to fit.

Normally, I would download most movies but there are occasions where I know I would watch a movie again and again. Those of Star Wars, Avenger and Batman. Marvel did an excellent job on my current favourite comic series, Guardian of the Galaxy. Hence, I've got to have it watch it over and over again. Wonder whether it'll be something like Star Wars were I watched it more than 10 times.

 

I know this is unnecessary but I just want to catalogue what I bought. I wanted to get Emporio Armani instead but they didn't had much choice of the microfibre type. I ended getting the Calvin Klein collections instead.

 

Another unnecessary post but I truly have to recommend this as how my cousins recommended to me. They feel get, try rubbing yourself in it. HAHAHAHA...

My doctor gave me the ultimatum if my health result didn't improve by the next review. So I had to start my jogging routine and get a new sport bands for the new phone.

A complement to the jogging routine. It is quite handy. Pardon the price tag.

Carpet (the neighbourhood cat) has been clawing my slippers for the longest time and it's due time for a replacement, in time for my next trip. (Hint Hint) 

I'm in need of a board short for the next holiday. (Another hint on my next trip)

Yet another replacement. I've given away my Burberry polo from HK to my sister as I've outgrown it. I just had to get a replacement and gotten the classic line. 

This was an impulse. I was in my Cubicle of Solitude browsing my email when I saw this on Groupon. It was just perfect, I love hidden excess belt and this was considered cheap. I do still want my Hermes belt. Probably next Huat Moment.

It is due time to get a new wallet. I intended to get a Bottega Venetta Classic Weave but realized that I won't be able to upgrade further. I seen something from Prada that I liked but ended up to a totally different design altogether. Simple yet classy, just the way I like it. 

After this, I may then upgrade to Bottega Venetta.

I doubt my perfumes will last till end of the year after knowing my family uses my perfumes. So I just had to get another.

Rightfully, I been telling myself to get the PS4 by Lunar New Year but there hasn't been much game released that I'm eager about. So far, there are only 2 titles. I'll be waiting for either the FFXV or Arkham Knight Bundle. For now, I'm going to find the time to complete the Kingdom Hearts Duology remix before the third is released on PS4.

Lastly, it's time that I expanded my Transformers Masterpiece with this bada$$. Yet another huge figure which I got a great deal over eBay. There are 2 more in the pre-order bin and I can't wait for them. I do still want to get a Decepticon seeker.

Well, told you that it would be handful. I spent over 2 weeks and most of this items are still in its shopping bag. Time to clear up and store the purchase. I really wonder what would be my next purchase.

2015 Reading Challenge Part 1

I chanced upon GoodReads.com back in 2013 from Facebook. I managed to catalogue most of my read since I registered. A good motivation for me to continuously read was to set a reading challenge which GoodReads catered the tracking device.

In 2014, I managed to exceed my target of 15 books by 1. I know it isn't much but considering the amount of things I've scheduled myself in 2014, I'm quite pleased with the outcome. The challenge also does not include the numerous e-comics I've downloaded into my iPad.

As of the start of February, I managed to complete 3 books. I really how I will managed to hit the target since my time is now packed with school assignment. Though that wouldn't stop me from preparing my impulsive read once school ends. Some purchase to help with the challenge.

I can finally start the series. Gotten volume 2 and 3 cheap locally but volume 1 was nowhere to be gotten. I had to order this overseas and the price is over the top.

Just some consideration

Have always wanted to get this but can't seem to find it locally. Finally got it at the newly relocated Kinokuniya .

Geeky Pleasures Part Deux

It's a new year and I finally received the message that my pre-order was ready for collection. This was the largest and most expensive toy that I've owned. It's a Transformers Masterpiece MP22 Ultra Magnus. I've pre-ordered together with MP21 and I'm really happy that I got it at the pre-order price.

I'm knew that it would be a bad idea to wander around China Square Central (CSC) before I collect my pre-order. I've been searching for the Bandai Star Wars model kit all the way from Seoul and even planned to get it online until it was sold out. I managed to find it at one of the shops in CSC at a reasonable price. The shop I collected MP22 has it at $10 more. Once I've collected my MP22, I proceeded to get the model kit which I've been wanting for so long. I may return to get the X-Wing and TIE Fighter. I'll get the Darth Vader online somewhere.

I've started another reading goal for 2015 which Goodreads encourages and track of my progress. I targeted to complete 15 books by the end of the year. Currently I have 5 books on the rack and another 1 coming in 3 weeks time (BookDepository). I've been bumping into Murakami's The strange Library for a while and finally decides to get it from Kinokuniya, while on the way to CSC.

Go Crazy in Seoul

The latest 2PM song, Go Crazy suits these situation perfectly. I went crazy with shopping at Seoul, South Korea. This was the second trip to South Korea and I pretty much know what to expect for shopping. My wish list wasn't much but it contains shoes and a bag from Raw Row.

I last bought them from N Seoul Tower from my first trip and it have been a trusted companion for work. I had to get more and I grabbed the last remaining pieces at Doota since I did not planned to go N Seoul Tower.

I have to admit that I'm getting a tad to obsessive with Star Wars recently especially R2-D2. Anyway it is for my #RDshots. Apparently it's cheaper that the one sold in Kinokuniya.

4. Bleu De Chanel Eu De Parfum
I do hope that this would be last the perfume for the year. Somehow I still doubt it.

5. Raw Row R Bag 400
One of my shopping list have been met. Somewhat the Japanese Porter to Korea, I've been eyeing them for the longest time. There are some shops that carries the brand but it is limited. I had problem locating the main shop and only found on the second trip. I managed to get those that is not commonly sold at their retailers and I'm super pleased with the purchase.

11. Starbucks Coffee Rice Chips
Those that I've asked to get this for me were puzzled on why I like this snack. It's tasteless on it's own but the tangerine dip that comes with it is a great complement. It's also a healthy snack somehow.

12. Nike Paul Rodriques Citadel LR Shoes
I needed a replacement work shoe since my Adidas Stan Smith Winter exclusive had served me well over 3 years. I had mentally noted of another Nike shoe from one of the Les More outlet. Luckily I've stepped into an ABC Mart with a specialty Adidas and Nike floor where I found this shoe at the same price as the Les More that I've intended to get.

13. Vans Sneaker Boot
I'm not really a fan of boots due to the hassle of putting them on but I found this sneaker boot version mesmerising. I hand intend at the back of my head to get a similar shade from Timberland but this surpasses that intend due to comfort and convenience in wearing them.

14. Paris Croissant Baumkuchen
I've always love the Japanese German layer cake and especially love the fresh one sold at Juchheim Takashimaya. It is as nice and fluffy like the ones from Juchheim (explains the missing 1 pack).

There is another which I did not managed to photograph. It's a Hadith book I've gotten during my visit to the Muslim community bookshop in Seoul. The shopkeeper is so friendly that we've became friend.

Last minute

I had an idea of a action figure shot for my travels and whatnot way back during my Hong Kong trip. However, I had not finalized on the character that I am wanted. Seven months passed and I came to a conclusion, I will choose R2-D2 from Star Wars. You can check out my Instagram #RDShots.

I have a Funko and a 6" Star Wars Black Series of R2-D2 but they were a tad huge to bring around for travels or whatnot. I had to get a 3.75" version of it and remembered the Black Series had one. I was lucky enough to find it at Toys R Us as the figure was released quite a while back.

I could actually incorporate RYDIKULEZ into R2-D2 insignia which is great for stickers and logo.

While searching for R2-D2, I came across a book which I found interesting. I've heard so much of this local writer and would like to know more of his work. This will be put aside with the others and will start once I complete my list of comics.

Pre-Christmas/Holiday Shopping

One of my pre-order has been released and I finally got hold of it after 3 months wait. My second original Takara-Tomy Transformers Masterpiece figure is here. Quite a small figure but quite accurate to the Generation 1 character I might add.

I had a close friend wedding during the mid of December and needed a new clothes. I was eyeing this sort of shirt for a while and I finally found the purpose to purchase. However, |I ended going to the wedding in a totally different outfit.

Like every other Christmas, my set of perfumes are finally depleting. I've only managed to get 2 bottles of 4 normalcy. I may just need to get 1 more this time.

I've Confirmed I"ve OCD

I knew I have compulsive behaviour to do things certain ways. However I finally confirmed my Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour (OCD). From what I read, OCD is when you are struggling to fight a certain thoughts where one will be submissive to.

I have a certain rule not to go out in my work uniform, even if it's a casual Friday attire. I would change at work or home if I were to go out or to school. There was an exception recently.

I was scrolling through Facebook during the last hour of work and came across a group post:

After much conflicting thoughts I submitted and rushed off from work in work attire to town. In my defence, COME ON, ITS 4 FOR 1!!! The post was at 2.25pm and I was there at 6.30pm. Almost half was gone. Thankfully, I'm suffering OCD and not Impulsion. I managed to get a set.

To top it off, all these are quite recent figures. I almost wanted to get 1 online, the rarest to be happy of my compulsion.

Every set will have a repetition.

I confirmed that I have a obsessive compulsion for sales. I will check stores on sale to see what's good. Most of the time, I'll leave empty handed which I'm thankful for. Some time I will get a great deal which some friends are envious of. I'm thankful that I'm not impulsive due to my spending capability. LOL... Well, I always say that I have an eye for sale.
