Star Wars Frenzy

December 18th is the day almost everyone would be hyped up about the Star Wars latest movie, The Force Awakens. I wasn't all that hyped up to queue nor watched in on the official launch day so I went on a different route of Star Wars Fandom.

I wanted get the Star Wars plushes that were sold at $6 for every $60 spent at Changi Airport. My agenda was to find a perfume so the cost can cover the plush. However, while venturing around the X-Wing lifesize display, there was a pop-up store that sold the Star Wars figures that I've been hoping for.

This were my initial purchase and I went on to the other terminals in search of other items for my upcoming travel. I do not know what compelled me to returned to the store and scored me a rare find.
I was hysteric to find the ever rare Captain Phasma figure on retail. I had to get a secondary item to make up the $60 total so I can get hold of another plush. I had to force myself out of the airport once I've redeemed the plushes to prevent further damages.

Still in the Star Wars frenzy, I've was drawn to get the Japanese edition of the Movie Realization Star Wars. Isn't it a beauty.

August to November Follow-Up

Ever since I returned from Shanghai, I have been swamped with tons of school and social life that I was not able to update my blogs. Now that I finally have the time, I will list out the SINS over the three months:
I bought tons of Disney Infinity figures including the 2.0 base only to realise that it's the wrong region. I told myself that I'll get the latest 3.0 version. True to my words, I found the set before it's official release and the game store staffs were kind enough to sell it prematurely. The main intention was to get Until Dawn but I ended with 2 games instead.
Went to Singapore Toy Comic Convention in hopes to find some good deals but ended empty handed. I scouted around and found an anime T-shirt store that had a sick Deadpool tee but ended with a Phoenix tee instead. At least I didn't exit the convention empty handed. It was considerably cheap too.
I missed Force Friday as I was hospitalised. I yearned to be discharged in hopes to grab the latest First Order Stormtrooper. It took me quite a while to locate it, even failing to find it during SGTCC. I finally found it at my usual haul China Square where it cost $45, roughly $6 more than retail. Well, it it a hard figure to come by.

I really don't know why I'm effectuated by Star Wars and really can't wait for the latest Force Awaken to be featured in December. I know I halted my Black Series Collection but I do find the Force Awaken figures great, especially Kylo Ren and the Storm Trooper. Knowing that it'll be tedious to hunt in down physically, I managed to order it online via AmiAmi and scored a Han Solo in Storm Trooper disguise and the latest Star Wars Boba Fett model Kit. That was a huge parcel of Star Wars goodies.
I know I need to slow down on my collections as I'm running out of space. I did clear majority of my past collections so I guess it is still acceptable to refurnished some new ones. Ever since I've gotten my bootlegged Transformers Masterpiece, I've been hooked in continuing the line. They have great collectability and the demand for resale is still high no matter if it's not MISB. The latest is Tracks and it is an awesome figure.

Well, it really shows that I've invested a lot in my past time. Mostly toys and games and I've not gotten any clothes or footwear. Oh wait!!
I'll be heading for a winter holiday for Christmas and New Year and I've been over-using some of my winter jackets. Time to get some new ones. Gotten a combo of sweater and padded vest for a great deal of $50 total at H&M. I'll be looking K-Pop style there.

Shanghai Spoils

SG50 was too much for me and it is best to beat the crowd by getting out of the country. I managed to travel to Shanghai to check off the To-Go list. I didn't really expect to shop knowing that the prices there are expensive as informed by my local friend.

I still managed to shop still after knowing some of the items are exclusive and not easily found in Singapore (I hoped because I paid a hefty price for it).
The greatest purchase:
Adidas Stan Smith Vulcan Striped
Other than that, I would end up buying socks overseas either it's cheap or its toe socks. It's not easy finding toe socks of different length and purposed. I found this pairs at Uniqlo and I don't recall seeing them locally.
I told myself that I shouldn't get more clothes since I've bought quite a handful and I don't wear them frequently. I was stoked when I was encountered SPAO in Shanghai. How could I not?  They are a Korean brand and their fitting are excellent even for my figure. This was the pivotal point of me starting to shop.
I can't say no to this Star Wars T-shirt
I didn't leave Shanghai broke. I actually had extra RMB to spare so I splurged on meals in a fancy restaurant. My single 3-course meal would only cost my SG$35. How could I not? Since I saw great finds especially at Adidas Originals, I hope that I could find them locally at a cheaper price. Oh no, I still want to shop.

New School Semester

It's that time again, school semester will start soon. To start off the new school year, I would normally get myself a new back but since this is just semester 2, I just need a fresh new clothes.
Loving checks and Timberland was having sale
Judging by the number of classes I have in school, my travelling time is more than the previous semester. I know I had books I have to clear but I knew that having more would be convenient once I completed a book. Anyway Kinokuniya was having a a sale and I was there for a friend to utilise my members privilege, so I got me some too.

Transformers Masterpiece - Optimus Prime

I've always wanted to get the classic version of Optimus Prime, especially from the Masterpiece line. There were multiple version in just 1 line and the price was exuberant now. MP01 can cost up to $300+, MP04 would cost up to $500+ and MP10 was close to $500 as well. Both MP04 and MP10 comes with the trailer, only difference is that MP10 is more size accurate with the other Masterpiece series.

I was stoked that Takara-Tomy was re-releasing MP10 and pre-order would cost me less than $250 inclusive of shipping, however getting from Japan directly would not entitle me to the collector coins.

Comic Block - June

My June ComicBlock arrived damaged but I won't bother sending it back. The comics were bent but the other merchandise were still intact. Somehow, I've always loved their exclusive t-shirts. The merchandise was mediocre.
Groot 01 (ComicBlock Variant)
Ghostbusters Get Real 01 (Comic Block Variant)
Another comic which back was facing forward.
An Avengers stationary
Batman Vs Superman T-Shirt.

Finally...

I was holding back on getting the PlayStation 4 when it first came out because I was still playing some games on the predecessor. I was also holding back because there wasn't much interesting game releases until I get to know that the concluding series of Batman will be on PS4.

I got hyped up when I got to know that they will be releasing the Arkham Knight Limited Edition console which I pre-ordered during my birthday month. My patience paid off when it finally arrived. Man, the set was such a beauty and the game play is fantastic.
I was torn in either getting a secondary remote or another game. Since most of the games I'm playing are single players, I ended with another game instead. One from my wishlist, Assassin's Creed Unity.

Impulse Part 2

As the title, these was my next impulse trip to Kuala Lumpur. I didn't really accomplished much during my stay less than a month ago. Anyway, Hakimbo invited me to join him for another food fare before Ramadhan begins. Though I can't seem to prevent myself from shopping.
Planned to only get 2 books but ended with more

Got more T-shirt from Uniqlo. Felt cheated because the label in Singapore indicated RM39.90 which was cheaper but it was actually RM 59.90 there. Still cheaper by SG$2.

Bandai Star Wars Model Kit

I've always wanted to try doing the Bandai Gundam model kits especially the Real Grade ones. I'm know nuts about Gundam and the last few I completed as kid was just mediocre. I saw that Bandai had came up with the Star Wars Model Kit and I was exhilarated. I managed to find the Stormtroopers figure in Singapore and was satisfied with the end products. They were almost identical to my Black Series Collection.

Bandai had more releases of vehichles but I was interested mostly to the figures instead. Singapore brought in R2-D2 and R5-D4 and I just had to get it. Upon completing, I lost one of R2-D2's head opening and had to replaced with the opened flaps.
I've temporary stopped my Black Series until they come up with more great figures but mostly it is due to space constrain. So for now, I'm concentrating on the Bandai Model Kits which are more fun. Since it's hard to find them in Singapore or they cost rydikulezly expensive, I've ordered more from Hobby Link Japan.

Comic Block - May

NerdBlock launched a new block, ComicBlock and I decided to give it a try. ComicBlock promise 3 comics (either single, trade or exclusive), a comic related collectable and T-shirt. I've switched my comic subscription digitally hence some of the comics received were mostly read.
Came with
Convergence Action Comics 01
Secret Wars 01 (NerdBlock Variant)
Mythic (NerdBlock Variant)
Batman Print
The Comic Book Guy T-Shirt.
The shirt was the greatest item of the ComicBlock. I really wonder how it'll fair for my 2 remaining blocks.

Arcade Block - May

This was the last subscription month and I decided to switch from Classic to Arcade. Man, I regretted doing that. The items for May wasn't that fantastic. I was slightly disappointed but luckily it was the last. I have little idea the games that they were affiliated to.
May Arcade Block
This is so-so. Took me awhile to know what game it was from
Nice cap but I have no clue where it's from.
By far my favourite of the lot.
Finally something I can relate to.
Don't get it and don't have a car.
Fridge Magnet.

Impulse

Even though the title states impulse but it doesn't really mean that I shopped impulsively. Maybe I did. Impulse is when I booked a flight ticket just so I can satisfy my craving. I bought a flight ticket to Kuala Lumpur for some food-hunt. Since I'm there, I did a bit of window shopping and got the following bits.
Was walking around Parkson in search of toe socks but ended leaving with a comfortable tee from Springfield. Subconsciously, bought green.
No KL trip would be complete without visiting Kinokuniya. That's the best place to find better range of Islamic reads and some quirky local books. I also didn't realized that I've bought 2 Murakami's book of different covers.
I'm supposed to get pants but ended getting bermuda instead from United Colors of Bennetton. It's surprisingly cheap and comfortable.

Aussie Spoils

Honestly, Australia is my first non-Asian destination and I was really hoping not to shop much. My post birthday trip was to Sydney and then crashed Hakimbo's birthday trip to Melbourne.

I had the intention to get the Apple Watch in Australia since it's unavailable in Singapore till later release. I saw it and fiddle around with it but held back the purchase due to whether I really NEED it. I came to a conclusion that I'll get it if I don't find other things.

Not really sure whether I'm holding back on the watch or there wasn't anything to get in Sydney. I only managed to get a present for the birthday boy in Sydney and some impulses.
Even though this wasn't anything fanciful but I was a saviour. It enabled me to venture in the rain rather than bumming around in Sydney.
This may cost a little more or unavailable in Singapore.
How could I not love it?
So Sydney purchase were sort of a maintained impulse but there wasn't really anything that caught my attention even after endless browsing around the stores. So I had the possibility of getting the watch in Melbourne. Or so I thought.
There were only 1 H&M store in major cities and the one in Melbourne is the most accessible and grand store. I didn't know that they had a home section. These duvet covers were gorgeous and cheap. At least I got something cheap for HRP rather than the common Ikea ones.
I had a soft orgasm when I went to browse in Target at Sydney. I had a mental note of the things I would possibly want and will get it in Melbourne instead, hoping not to blow my baggage allowance. Once in Melbourne, I went crazy!!!
So nice. Got to have it...
Something for work.
I contemplated to get this and finally succumbed to get it and kind of went overboard with the figures. Now I really wish I gotten more as Singapore doesn't have a lot of it and the price is torturous.
Just had a sample and I bought the whole carton for HRP. Luggage almost overload because of these scrumptious delights.
My usual travel mementos
My stint in Target caused me not to get the Apple Watch which I didn't really regret. Somehow I'm still not confident in the newly launch watch which is overpriced too. Knowing Apple, they will release a newer version every year. With that, I'm actually pleased and grateful for my purchases especially the Disney Infinity 2.0 game set and figures.
