Cheap Cheap Good Good, Come Buy

My latest trip to Bangkok was a different experience, this time with my friends with kids. Since it was my third time there, I had not much expectations except ensuring my friends had a great time. I was amazed that shopping there was excellent with the protest and shutdown. The usual bargaining is normal but there tons of premium shop on sale due to the road closure. Prices were marked down exuberantly to attract people into the mall. Sadly I only managed a few grabs as they carry little of my size, worst for those larger than me.

Most of the items are uniquely from a singular shop. I was unable to locate the same design print at any other shops.

Christmas Shopping Round 2

I planned to stay home on the Christmas holiday to complete a game but I also made a promise to someone to meet before she flies off for the New Year. She had a meeting before me at Orchard so I agreed to meet her there.

I really didn't plan on shopping but as I went into some shops, I was drawn to the store wide sale. My hands and wallet were sweating but I managed to buy things that I really liked, mostly clothes. All of the purchase were at 50% off plus additional 10% by Citibank.
Love the prints by DKNY Jeans.
Didn't want to spent more but came across this stunning orange shirt by Paul Smiths. It would really be wasted not to get at 50% + additional 10%.
This was an impulsive buy but truly cheap. Now, I have 3 scents on top of my depleting 3 bottles of 2012.

Christmas Shopping with the Siblings

Christmas 2013 has to fall in the middle of the week so AL-less (annual leave) me has to stay in Singapore but that didn't put my hopes down for a good time to shop. The siblings and I planned to do a bit of shopping the week before Christmas.
Spoils for the day
Mostly Christmas presents for the family
It's the season of giving and I couldn't resist getting something for my love ones. Some were gifts from purchase which I gave away too. Of course I had to get somethings for myself and went to town with a shopping list.
Some more books but I gave one away upon completion
Tried the perfume while in DFS and Lil Sister recommended to get since she could also have some helping. Can't resist with the gift wrapping since the festive mood. My siblings were not happy waiting and I don't care.

Another scent that I just got to have. Ok, I noticed I spent a lot on perfumes during Christmas. Well, all my perfumes depletes last almost a year. That's 3 perfume per year. Seems like I'm short of one.
I still have 3 uncompleted games and I'm still have the thought of getting PS4 and Xbox One. For now, this is the last game (hopefully) to complete before I get the latest console.

Got Broke in Japan

It's finally time for my year end post exam holiday. What a better way to have a lonesome adventure in JAPAN!!! I've planned a backpacking trip from Fukuoka to Hiroshima with a hike to Miyajima, to Osaka and another hike up to Inari Fushimi Shrine in Kyoto, and ending with a bang at Tokyo. Even though I'm backpacking, it did not stopped me from shopping. However I limited my shopping urges until I reach Osaka.

Apparently, I've started shopping at Hiroshima instead. I went Japan with 2 backpack and came home with 5 bags. Yup, I've shopped like crazy. I went berserk especially browsing Porter bags. Just look what 3 bags of goodies I've stuffed with.
The things I've bought and packed into 3 bags (including the luggage in pic)
After setting aside the souvenirs from the first pic, the remaining are mine
After sorting out gifts, souvenirs and some orders, I've only left with the following for myself. Here's the breakdown.
More like a gift for purchasing at Headporter. This thing itself cost 1200 JPY  (15 SGD)
A replacement for my Porter International camera case
A Korean Magazine featuring Yoshida&Co/Porter
Main Head Porter Objective: A new school bag
A Clutch to hold my iPad and sorts
A passport holder at last
My very own Yukata with the "Happiness" character (I was sold by that - personal motto)
Magnet Memorabilia
Lego Key-chains: Star Wars and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Wondering whether I should give each to my Ninja Turtle cousins)
A new tribal decal iPhone 5 cover
Starbucks Flavored Via. Bought a total of 12 packs but decided to give some away to my uncles and BIL
Now, I'm left for broke. I can't wait for the next payday because it'll be the siblings Christmas shopping spree. Till then, I'll have to work my ass off.

Missing

Wow, the last post was way back in May. It's not that I didn't shop (don't think I can ever stop that) but I don't have the time to post due to work and school commitments. Now that I have the spare time, I'll update the blogs that worth it's update. Let's see what I've been spending the past 6 months.

Let's start with Games. Not in the photo is Grand Theft Auto 5 which was meant to be played after exams but I've completed it before the exams starts.
Something to keep me occupied during the HRP Weekend since I'm not going out.
An anticipated game after the school exams.
 Moving on to books:
To understand better in English than struggle with Malay translation
A mismatched combination but both are an interesting read
Lastly Apparels:
 A Green Bermudas from Muji
Adidas ZX750. The second favorite color combination.
A bit too much green from Muji
On sale, Calvin Klein Jeans Fitted Jeans
It's not necessary to post but it's my necessities.

That's what I've been spending for the past 6 months. My next purchase however was done in preparation for my Japan trip. Not in photos are my 2 jackets (H&M and Topman) which can actually be used locally, during classes mostly.

The following are just additional de-stressing attempt during exam week, H&M basic tops on sale, a new book by Mitch Albom and a fold-able bag for Japan usage.

Indulgence

Exams are over and it the school break. I love being a student but I still have a career to look after. Time management is less hectic during this period and by the look of it, I'm making use of the free time fully to complete my shows, movies, reading and gaming. The very moment after my last paper ended, I whipped up a book and started reading. Within 5 days, I've completed 4 books and a game.

Luckily, it the summer holiday and Kinokuniya is having its summer sale. The best time to stock up.

I just love Japanese magazine and their free gifts. The Head Potter lookbook roughly gave me the idea of what to aim when I go over this winter holiday. I subdued to getting the hardcover for Dan Brown's Inferno, some Malaysian collection on old folks belief, some religious read and something my sister requested for her son.

While in town, I've noticed that the Singapore Sale is silently creeping in. It's the best time to update some of my bottoms and I do need a good pair of jeans. Too bad I didn't find any good cutting from Hugo Boss 40% but found something that fits perfectly from Calvin Klein Jeans.
A week back, I've impulsively bought a top from H&M. That place is secretly run by devil himself I tell you. Everyone's drawn into the shop and exit with a bag. However I do love what I picked up. It shouts me but the regular M size I normally wear is too big. I had to multi wash to shrink it.
I had a great time shopping especially with my sister assigning me as her personal shopper. I got her tons of stuffs while she does her errands elsewhere. By the end of the day, I lugged back all this on my own.
So a bag of Kinokuniya, Nespresso and L'Occitane are her purchase while the rest are mine. The Samsung purcahs eat the back? I needed a new monitor as the current one is slowly dying with it's constant flicker and refusal to switch on during the start-up. So it is a need. The Challenger back is just a complimentary HDMI cable with the monitor purchase which I gave dad for his TV to watch him sleep, in full HD.
